Fedde ten Berge (i.m. Michaele Abolaffio, Daniele Fabris & Andreas Tegnander) – The Pentacle 15.3
The Pentacle 15.3 was developed by Fedde ten Berge. It originated from the desire to turn sound art and amplified live music into a spatial experience. The Pentacle wants to offer artists and the public an equal space to explore and meet the sound together. This in contrast to a stage to look up from a distance. The sound experience (and thus the musical experience) is the same for the artist and the audience. A set-up with artists on one side of the room and remote audience on the other side of the room is thus transcended.

On the occasion of the museum night in Eye, a number of special controllers have been developed at STEIM. With these controllers, the audience can play electronic music and experience it together in the spatial sound reproduction of The Pentacle15.3
The rules for this music are pre-established and controlled so that there is always a connection between the different musical layers. These musical layers have been specially developed for the spatial representations of The Pentacle.
