GRAIM NOISE HARM

Granular Synthesis is a method by which sounds are broken into tiny grains which are then redistributed and reorganised to form other sounds.

GRAIm NOISE
is a spatial instrument based on an auto-retriggered algorithm of granular synthesis.
A polyphony of 8 voices using filtered noise or an oscillator with variable wave shapes as main source.
Supplied with a delay and an overdrive implementing a generalised series.
Each voice is also auto-spatialised into a multichannel audio-rate spatial system and, through Spat, decoded into a binaural format.
Implemented in msp, gen and mc.

Inspired by Carmine Emanuele Cella

All this sounds are created through my new devices, improvising with them.
8 tracks “quick-recorded” while I was testing, debugging, implementing the device; trying to discover its behaviour, interacting with it, learning how to control it.
Performed one-way-control, just using a track pad a mouse.
